Memorial Scholarship
To support work-force bound students(*) in Novato, the Rotary Club of Novato Sunrise is offering a $1,000 Bill Bell Career and Technical Education Memorial Scholarships to qualified applicants.
The applicants must be a graduating senior or have received a GED from a Novato Unified School District (NUSD) high school in the 2024-2025 school year. Preference will be given to those intending to pursue a career requiring a technical certificate or similar training. i.e. not a four-year college degree. Students planning to attend accredited trade schools or pursuing Certified Technical Education (CTE) or ”Pathway” or similar certification programs are eligible. Financial need is a consideration.

(*) The June 2019 Marin County Grand Jury Report on “The Status of Career Technical Education in Marin County” identified Marin Schools as falling short in supporting students who are not college-bound and who instead might seek to go straight to the workforce.
